A moment shared on the campaign trail.

OCTOBER 29, 1960

As the story goes, my Grandmother took my mother and her brother's to see Senator's Kennedy campaigning outside of Philadelphia, PA in 1960. My mother recalls this day vividly and from this moment forward, I believe a real bond was made for my family.

Senator Kennedy, Campaigning in Willow Grove, 1960

For that brief moment, I touched his (JFK’s) hand... I was so excited. It was that electrifying moment when you touch someone special.

As President Kennedy's motorcade passed through Willow Grove, my mother's hometown. She was fortunate enough to have been able to briefly shake his hand. This story remains a bright spot for my family as my grandmother passed in June of 1962. We've come to think back fondly on this time and the hopeful vision that JFK shared for our nation. It is also a message and source of inspiration I've brought into my art and creative work.
